So its been 11 years since I've seen snow! Today...its snowing! So wonderful I thought I'd share...being from FL..you don't see snow, so the mountains have definitely blessed me with a beautiful sight! Hoping the snow will stay for a couple days..maybe have an extended weekend, that way I can work on some art! Keep an eye out for some new things, hopefully to come in Feb or March! Until then, enjoy some photo's I took!

  So I have been trying to do some free hand painting in my spare time! Working at the Zoo has been great, but it keeps me busy! I was used to having 4 days off, now I only have 2...so it's a lot harder to work on extra things!   But I push on..so here is a small painting I did last weekend and a sketch for a big painting I am planning! You will proably see a lot of these post for a while...small paintings and sketches is all I really have time for!   The painting is inspired by my back yard. Dark foggy nights are the best in the mountains... I painted this all free hand with acrylic paint...free hand has always been a challenge for me...mostly because I am O.C.D., so most of the time I draw on my canvas and then paint...I have been trying to challenge myself and I like what came out! I have also been working on a sea monster for another large painting I am working on...here is what I came up with. I got a lot of inspiration from my favorite monster drawing artis...

Hey everyone!   So I'm totally taking a risk by putting this up! I hope that the person this is for does not see any of this! I couldn't help but share because of its pure badassness!! So check it out!  I don't have a title for this, put pretty much the description is a Skeleton Unicorn (Glow in the Dark) With snakes coming out of his mouth, that are the color of the rainbow! I think its pretty metal..heh. The Skeleton unicorn came from inspiration to a similar drawing I found on the Internet. I DID NOT copy this. I took the base of the drawing and added my own touch. Everything of mine is hand drawn and painted. Nothing scanned, digitally made, or anything like that! Usually with my paintings, they are 100% me....but this was a gift not for sale.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to keep you updated on things to come! I finally finished my gift painting I was working on, let me tell you...its rad! So Ive been working on gifts for my niece and nephew! They are 2 and 4 and have a million toys, so I was looking for something different to give them! So I do what I do best, painted! I've always loved drawing robots, I struggled with which design to use, so I went with a more classic robot look for both. It was so much fun to paint!   So its that time of the year, Christmas is coming and gift ideas are flying around! Ive been working on a few gift paintings for some family members!    Currently I am working a two robots for my niece and nephew! My sister in law and her family are moving and I thought what a great idea to gift some great new art to hang in their new home!   So far the robots are coming out great! ( Pictures soon to come, cant give it away yet!). Originally I was struggling with the robots eyes and what color to make them. I thought about doing glow in the dark eyes, because I'm on a glow in the dark kick, but I think that will scare the little ones!   Colors are Blue, Yellow, and Silver for the boy one and Pink, purple and silver for the girl! As always my mediums are watercolor and acrylic paint! I really love the way they are turning out and hopefully I will have some pictures up soon!   All I know is I cant wait to see their little face light up when they ope...

Here's a sketch of what I'm working on. Took the horse skeleton from a drawing i found online, drew it and added my own touches. The snakes with be all different colors of the rainbow. Instead of a horse, its a unicorn. I'm currently searching for glow in the dark paint for the piece as well! Thinking of doing this on a long canvas! Let me know what you think!

So I'm thiking about doing and epic painting for one of my family members. I know this person has been wanting something from me really bad, so they'll be hella stoked.    The idea that I am having is sort of a rock n roll meets Sci-Fi sorta thing. okay so a skeleton Unicorn, vomiting rainbows, that turn into snakes? (still unsure). So well I'm writing this to see what people think. Hoping for feedback..   ohh ohh ohh...it also has glow in the dark elements ( my new obsession).
